For those who I am not in frequent contact I am now a private investigator and am in the process of getting my computer forensic examiner certification.  The classes I am attending are through SANS Institute (System Administration, Networking and Security) for GlAC CFE Certification.

Not sure how much work I will get directly related to this, but I have basically been doing it off/on for almost 20 years.  Will post more as things progress.

]]> Tue, 03 Jul 2012 09:34:02 -0700 http://example.com/blog.php?d=16 Riots in America http://example.com/blog.php?d=15 If you have been reading and following the news reports on the Occupy Wall Street Movement you are seeing a lot of "Sexual Assualt" and other crimes being comitted.  What you will also see is the general "bad behavior" of the protesters on local small businesses.  Further, if you read enough, you see that these "camps" are not really "protest"-camps but more reminiscent of "unemployement"-camps from the Great Depression.  Lots of out-of-work, homeless individuals, milling about with nothing else to do.

These individuals, with too much free time, no guidance and no regard or respect for others are destroying personal property, attacking individuals and even going to the extreme of building and using a Molotov cocktail  near the Portland's World Trade Center.(1)

But alas, I may not know exactly what I am talking about since I just read biased newspapers so lets see what someone else is saying about this.

I am a published photographer.  This image was published in 2008 in a Coffee Table photography compilation called "Endless Journeys".  My picture was going to be featured weather I bought a copy of the book or not.  It was only $69.95 and I figured what the heck. (Can you say "SUCKER").

It also won me the distinction of being named one of the "2008 Amateur Photographers of the Year" by the International Photographers Society.  Of course, I refused to pay any fees for being honored with this award, and I did not attend the Yearly Expo in Las Vegas, NV to receive my award, and I refused to pay $150+ to have the award shipped to me, so it was probably all a scam trying to get my money.

I actually did receive a book.  Wow, was I surprised. The book has a  very nice appearance, is well bound and heavy duty.  The pages are a high gloss thick paper.  The pictures in this "treasure of a lifetime" are of the most amateur-ish crap that could be published.  While there are a few pictures that are worthy of being published, there are many that I am appalled that someone would even have posted to a website to be shared with family.

I received an email this evening that is honoring me as an "Editors Choice" photographer. (Here are a few excerpt's from the email)
